Can You Identify These Plugs?
Hello!
I recently pulled out my driver's seat and am curious to know what these 3 plugs are for. Especially "B" because it wasn't hooked to anything.
Thank you!

Its been a while since I've taken one of my seats out but A looks like the wiring for the seat belt clip and C is the power seat connector. Not sure about B.
What type of seats do you have? All manual, 4 way, 8 way, 12 way?

The cruise module is under the passenger seat (at least mine is) and the plug is much bigger.

A = seatbelt for sure
C = power seat for sure - and I have 8 way with heat and it's the same plug on mine
B = not sure. it's not cruise or wing or amp or those - they are under pass seat / dash.
what color are the wires under the sheathing and how many of them?

12-way seats have electric motors for lumbar support. My cab's seats are 12 way plus heat. The sample below is without heat.
Sample 12 way control - borrowed from another Rennlist thread.

It doesn't matter how many way seats you have the seats all work off of C.
I will need to pull my seats but whatever B is has to be critical to its application since it has a locking connector. It wouldn't be an aux connection which are just plugs like the seats.

I'm betting that this is an '89 or '90? I'm 99% sure that B is for the altitude sensor. I believe that it was phased out of the harness after 1990. Supposedly markets without a cat converter and o2 feedback used an altitude sensor to pull ~6% of fuel at high altitude. I don't believe that anyone has ever seen a 964 with it installed. Anyone here with a no-cat car ever noticed an extra gizmo under the seat?
The other giveaway is the white dme coding plug. The '89 and '90 models had a California/Japan market variation (I think that this was just the inclusion of the check engine light feedback) that used a jumper to +12v on the white connector. After 1990, all USA models were the same and had that socket empty.
Good photo for the archives!
ps- I've never seen a pair of the floor mat retaining straps. I always wondered what the clips on my mat were supposed to clip to. Neat!
