Help!! Stranded in old bridge NJ
So my car just died in the fast lane on the garden state parkway at exit 120, mile marker 121.2
Waiting on the state police, and then a flatbed. Replaced the DME with a new one, and made it a few hundred yards only to break down again. I hunk it's the fuel pump, as the fuel pump fuse is fine.
Any insight into shops etc would be appreciated

Looks like I'm gonna be towed to bodymotion. My shop recommended them. Couldn't have happened at a worse time as they are closed for the weekend. Have to deal with this Monday

Update...
Njsp used their bull bar on the front of his cruiser to push me from the left lane and into the breakdown lane, then promptly abandoned me. A tow truck came who was only able to get me off the parkway and into a shopping plaza in matawan. Waiting on another flatbed right now as well as a rental car.
Classic car ownership is always an adventure

Sorry for your troubles. New Jersey.... I always keep my tow hook on hand, but from now on I'm keeping my tow strap in the car so they can pull me to safety. Thankfully they didn't screw up that nice dual exhaust.

Wow, just wow.
So the trooper thought it was a safety issue to keep your car there and just had to move it instead of waiting on the tow truck? WTH?
Hope you get it all sorted out soon. Sorry to hear about this.
And yeah, reminder to keep tow hook and strap in the frunk!

I don't know what you did in a previous life to deserve this, but your luck with that car has been insane. Isn't that car already 80% new? Hoping you get it all sorted, and the rest of your weekend gets better!

Wow, that looks terrible. Are all the dents due to the push/tow? I figured you'd get some leniency given your FF plates, but apparently not in Chris Christie-land.

I can't blame the cop, I was stopped in the fast law at 4:00pm on a Friday. He had to move me.
As far as getting back to Ma, I'm sticking it out down here with the car. Hopefully it will be addressed by Monday. Waiting on a call from the shop now.
Also.. I'm not a fire fighter, just have the memorial plates.

Don't worry Jimmy, you're not alone. I have a 912E that has never ran for more than six months without something catastrophic going wrong. I have more money into the 912E than all of the other P cars put together. Owning a Porsche can sometimes be bitter sweet. Believe me!
