Default 951 cylinder head cleaning

Head disassembled
Can I cold or hot tank it? Do I need to be careful with the ceramic liners?
What chemicals need to be avoided?

I ran my head through a Hotsy hot water machine at my work. Just make sure it has corrosion inhibitor chemical in it like the one Hotsy makes.

The Naptha Final Wipe Solvent I keep posting about also works for cleaning up the head nicely.

Head cleaning was poor ! Need to find better cleaning method
Maybe I should just leave the ceramic ports alone .They look undamaged but there is a significant carbon deposit

Glass bead blaster.

Ceramic even comes out shiny.

Won't hurt ports, seats or guides.

I also cleaned my head carbon deposits with......wait for it....Naptha.

It can be found at any auto body supply store.

I have posted tons on here lately about it. Nothing works better for removing carbon deposits.

I was literally wiping the ports clean with a damp blue paper towel.

I posted pics of the 2 brands of 5 gallon pails I have on one of the threads.

I will post pics of my engine tonight when I get home and try and do some before and after pics with a couple cylinder heads I have. I have 5 cylinder heads in my house right now.
