Regarding Road N Race in palm beach, Very good to know, I am in Naples have an 86 951 and need a person who knows how to tune these cars. I worked with the AMG factory techs when I was assigned the durability testing for the SL65 SL 63, the turbo 4 cyl sport sedan and G wagon while working for Roush, had computers in my trunk that I couldn't even describe monitoring the octane of the gas as it burned to see if gas stations were cheating on their octane levels which caused a bunch of warranty claims in Ft. Lauderdale by Haulover beach.

Reason: wrong spot
I wish this had not been limited to 10 or 15 participants.
How about another Group Buy later on for the same price? Not sure why it needs to jump to $350, all of the NRE will have been done.

What I have found is in most cases the manufacturer is not interested in dealing with joe public and would rather sell in bulk to a retailer who would then add a margin and therefore sell them for $350 to make it worth their while. I assume as we are buying 15 we are getting the wholesale price, the reason it was stopped at 15 (up from previous 10) was to get the first batch out as soon as possible. So people who jumped in on the deal and paid up don't have to wait for others who are sitting on the sidelines, which would happen if the group buy was 20 or 30.
Also organizing a group buy is time-consuming and quite stressful, handling all the money, receiving, re-packing and shipping goods. I've done it a couple of times in the past for listers and I appreciate what URG8RB8 is doing here. Best thing to do is jump in on these deals as soon as they come up.

Thanks for your reply & thoughts. True, however with the Christmas run-up (as well as correspondingly being a little cash-poor atm), this deal was easy to overlook in the midst of all the other noise.
From my perspective (outside looking in), not the most ideal timing.
George D is also using the Electromotive TEC-GT and along with Devon so we are getting a decent sized group together. I am hoping Shawn installs his next project and becomes a TEC-GT master.
