Factory Piston Material
Hey guys I was wondering what material the factory turbo pistons are? I know the rods are forged, are the pistons as well? Thanks

I can't help with the material but the original outside coating of the pistons was Ferrostan, an iron coating. The Mahle pistons that we did years ago with JAB (now LR has) has Ferroprint iron coating. The Ferrostan waste became environmentally bad, Ferroprint took it's place. I think, think the pistons are an Alusil type casting but I could be wrong.
