I'm with Liberby Mutual and paying $550/yr. One catch, no collision. Liability only. I'm a VERY careful driver. ;-) You crash, lose cash!

"full coverage" is an interesting concept for an old porsche.

LeLand insured mine for $14000, but I beileve many people who THINK they have full coverage would get book value. I just ran a Kelly Blue Book and it came out at $5900.

POINT IS-MAKE SURE 'FULL' IS FULL.

The stipulations are that it can't be primary transportation, (must prove other insured cars in household), garaged, not modified, and must send pictures of front, back, sides, interior, and engine.

You can find them on the web do a google on Sneed Insurance, they will insure all non primary use p-cars, nice thing is no milage limitations.
Sweet - this looks like just what I wanted. Very cheep with liability. Cool find GusLight-Rennsport.

right now my car is uninsured because i am away from it, but unless i find better, I will be with Mercury, "full coverage" which is bull****, they want me to sign that they wont insure for more then blue book. Anyone have a good insurance that will insure for the 9 grand, but doesnt cost much more then what i pay, which is $950 a year.

I have "full coverage" from AAA. $970 a year. Blueman33 is wise in his statement. Full coverage does usually mean Kelly Blue Book. I have heard consumer advocates on car shows say to get "stated value" coverage on all collector cars. I called AAA twice now about this and they tell me that I must contact my representative. When I call him and leave voice mail, he has not called back. Makes you love insurance carriers. Give them money and they are happy. Ask for some back, and its the cold shoulder.

I'll second the statements on ERIE customer service when you have a claim, they are EXCELLENT. Been hit twice and I just filed through ERIE and let them take care of it.

I pay 1,400/yr for my wife and I, that's with her Honda, my Buick Rivvy ('86), a Durango ('00) and the 951, all except the Buick are full coverage. I have 12 tickets, she has 1, I'm 24, she's 30.

FYI - Every other insurance company we checked with couldn't beat a price of 2,500 / yr, so ERIE is not only great on service, they're cheap too.
When some dumb broad rear-ended my last 951 I was paid 11,000 for it and did a 2K buy back and turned the car over for 2,500. 11K was a good deal for the car (not EXCELLENT, but good for a fairly good car). I could have haggled more, but I was more interested in moving on.

I would check to see if Westfield Insurance is availible in your area. I was able to write my own policy covering my specified value on my 951, with excellent coverage and a low deduct. I pay pennies compared to what Progressive, State Farm, and All State wanted.

So far, I am very happy.
