Is the ISV supposed to buzz? when?
 
Just wondering about the isv on my car. I have seen internet lore say it should buzz. having issues with my car and mine doesn't buzz. Should it and when?????

You should be able to feel it vibrating with the key on. What issues are you having?

I'm not sure if you would. The engine is going to be vibrating a bit anyway. Also, the ISV is part of the closed loop idle control, so it's hard to predict exactly what the DME is making it do at any given moment.

The key on/engine off test is a good way to make sure it's getting power and a control signal from the DME, although I suppose that doesn't prove it's working perfectly.
