I'm having a few electrical issues. Dashboard illumination lights won't turn on (I just installed new sockets and bulbs), my airbag/seatbelt light will reset and then come back on a few seconds later, and my HVAC won't go into heat mode except for defog. Pls help. Thanks.
These wires were for optional stereo with separate amplifier under drivers seat if I'm not mistaken. Leave them jumpered or your stereo will loose power.
If your airbag and seatbelt light comes back on it means you have a fault in the SRS system.
Just found the faults. Easy fix. Passenger side, one of the wires was out of the airbag and the driver's side contactor is busted. I tried repairing, but ended up with a bird's nest. I think I could fix it with a few hours, but i'd rather just not waste my time. In the mean time I just put a 2ohm resistor between the old wires of the airbag unit to clear the annoying light. Its gone.
