Default Antifreeze flush and replacement with Prestone Green ok?

Any reason to not go with a prestone concentrated green antifreeze for $11/gallon that is aluminum safe with distilled water? I understand porsche wants you to buy their $50/qt versions that is aluminum safe and made by the porsche gods, but no thanks.

If I drain the system and pull the block antifreeze plug, then flush it out, should I have any concerns? Thanks

People will disagree, but it's fine as long as you don't let it get mixed with a different type of coolant (like Dex Cool which somehow was in my NA at one point and I learned the hard way). I've run it 50/50 for years with no issues and my water passages have zero mineral plating.

Pentofrost is also a viable (cheaper) option. That said, my S2 has had prestone in it for 10+ years with no issues.

I have been using Prestone for over 2 years with no issues. I had a chance to look into some hoses and block and didn't note anything worrying.

I'm in agreement with the above posters. As a general rule of thumb (to me at least) its more important to have clean fluid (whatever it may be) then going with something overly expensive that you will be less inclined to change out when it becomes marginal.

I am a fan of stock. That relates to fluids unless there is a substantial reason not to. saving a few bucks on something that you change every 30k-40k miles is not something I do. There have been many debates on this, so a lot might disagree.
