If this and all else fails I'll probably get their titanium version. Stockers are already stainless..

As far as I know all have sodium filled exhaust side, some even intake side.

bit of a temperature/running difference but what do heavy duty diesel trucks use?
they start to worry at 1250F EGT, when pulling 10,000 lbs up a steep hill.

funny enough, for them the answer to high EGT is more "throttle"...to put more intercooled air into the cylinder to bring temps down.

Also got reply from Supertech performance, they have the ultimate solution, sodium filled inconel valves (@$45/ea), but minimum order is 150 valves.

Looks like this is not happening.

Are there any stock turbo sodium filled valves of other manufacturer that is close to our 16v ex. valves dimension wise, and could be lathe massaged to fit?

Are you after blank valves to machine or just to replace stock? I asked our builder and they're significantly more than you're quoting but this is with custom work done.

$45/ea is still less than stock valves from Porsche

Predisposition for that price is 150 pieces, I'm all in for 10 but that is still 140 short.

I want to replace stock with something more suitable for turbo application. Ideally sodium filled since ~100°C lower valve head temperature is very welcome.

I know a machinist who could rework my valves to smaller format if desired (he has valve specific lathe tools) so I would buy blanks too if they are available in inconel.

I'd just find a way to keep the head cooler...the valve transfers heat through the guide, into the aluminum, into the water...
The cooler the water, the more transfer...

I can't imagine high-speed cruising makes the kind of EGT that towing a 10-20,000 lb trailer up a grade does, to melt valves.

Maybe add some provision to add some more fuel to your AFR at extended high-load periods, to take those temps down.
Lets face it, if you're driving 150mph for a while you're not concerned about fuel consumption.

Voith, I'm in for 10 or maybe more valves if this Supertech thing is happening

They (Supertech) mailed me another offer, this time for inconel only valves, these are $40/ea and minimal order is 50 pieces.

Since I really doubt we will get together for 150 pieces, I think this is the next best option and only 4 more buyers are required.

I am in for 10 inconel supertech exhaust valves, so I need 4 more..

Will try to arrange with Supertech so that they give their paypal account and payments are sent directly to them since I don't want to be the middle man.

Hi, You need to speak to John Verburg at Ferrea Race Component. They are based in Fort Lauderdale. His contact details john@ferrea.com /954 735 2505. I hope this is helpful. He made me eight valves for my engine Tim Ayliff from the UK.

Cheers Turbotim

I also thought I have seen Ferrea valves mentioned on Chris Whites web site.

Good info from Voith and You

Update:

John Verbung from Ferrea replied and I have sent him one new stock exhaust valve for measurements via mail, he will get back to me with price after they receive it.

Lead time is 3-3.5 weeks.

They don't have number limits, but probably if we get together now and order more, price would reflect that. (Will ask when I get the price.)

Thank You Turbotim!

I do not have access to PET right now but are all S/S2/968 exhaust valves the same?
I could be interested in a set or two depending on price and if they are sodium-filled.

Thanks Turbotim indeed.
