Default Those with KW V3's - what camber plates?

Just ordered some KW V3's... for those with them, what camber plates did you go with? Stock mounts?

My car will be mostly street with occasional autoX.

Rennline seems to be the most common... They are pricey so just wondering what else is out there.

Racers Edge. They give you more suspension travel that most through their design (which is good). Prevents the car from understeering in some slow corners with fast entry speed. ie high brake loading/nose diving.

Ground control offers regular camber plates, as well as top mounted ones that allow longer suspension travel. I got the standard set and am very happy with them. The build quality looks excellent, and they have more than enough adjustment for a modest street/track car. They also have castor adjustment which is a nice little benefit over some of the other brands, as well as being a little bit cheaper.

Sounds surprising Rod. I'd be curious to see them side by side as I know the RE's are much more raised than others I've tried or seen.

I think the racer's edge are more suitable for the stock koni's, but for my ride height and spring we needed them a bit lower, at a similar height to the kw camber plates if I remember correctly.

This was on the White 951 or the Black 968? I found that moving from the KW plates to the RE's gave us considerably more droop due to the raised design. Assuming that's why Karl designed them that way. I'd be interested to see if the GC's are even taller?

Running the Racers Edge camber plates with mine, many track and street miles with no issues. There were a few tricks to getting everything together, see this thread...

The racers edge give you more bump, I've run the ground control on my 951 and black 968. We just did the measurements at my ride height and spring rate and worked out where the top of the strut should be, I expect the kw's are a little shorter than the koni's , but also I run a stiffer spring,so less travel.

So would top mount ones be more comfortable for the street having longer travel? Reading what's is on the net for the top mount the top mount is good for the track.....according to Ground Control and Racersedge.

I've ridden in a car with KW which was quite nice on the street compared to stock konis. I also rode in a friends race Subaru with Ohlins which was spectacular on the road for both comfort and handling.
Anyhow question is would I get a nicer ride on the street with top mount??? Ya I know there is the spring rate and valving factors.

Thoughts and opinions?????

If theres no preload on the springs, should be exactly the same. There shouldn't be any preload on the springs either as there's helper springs.

+1, satisfied customer here. 100,000km and not a sound from them.

Only thing you should do is make up some bearing spring seats:

The steering turns to **** without them.

Cheers,
Mike

Pic of what's on my 951. Embarrassed to state: "I forgot the brand." Bought these back in 2005 or so, there's no visible manufacturing stamp - running them with KW's. Anyone recognize these?

Thanks!
