Calling all 944 Turbo experts...
For the 944 Turbo registry/technical library...
I have the ability to create "editors" on the website... I'm looking for some of you guys that want to be an editor of one of the technical pages.
Specifically, I will have the technical section broken up into year groups. I'm looking for a few people to take the reigns on a page or two and make sure it is 100% accurate.
If you could, reply to this thread with your interest (to keep it bumped), then go to this page (it's hidden, so use this link): http://www.944turbo.com/become-an-editor.html
Thanks,
Matt

Matt,
Wishing you well with your site! Can you explain a bit more what you have in mind to these technical pages? Are they how-to's like clarks, or reference pages with specs, or something else altogether?

I am open to ideas. Main goal would be to become the go to for technical specifics for each year. From something as basic as horsepower, to maybe something like "how many Guards Red Turbos were imported to the US in 1988?"
Wasn't thinking "how tos" necessarily, however if the individual editors wanted to create them, I wouldn't be opposed.
I am in the process of an odometer gear how-to video for the site.
Would love for it to be a single resource for 944 Turbo data of any kind.
Working on some basic forums... Nothing to replace Rennlist.

Just a suggestion:
I wouldn't have a US only thing (i.e how many turbos in the US ect) as there are many big contributors from out of the US on this forum. It'll make it feel once sided only.
But love the idea. wasn't around for the original one, but great concept.
If i can help out anyway, let me know.

Pauly, great input. That was an example, apologies if that was unclear. I would expect the editors to provide data on the Americas, Europe, UK, ROW... Just a simple example didn't mean to imply it was going to be US only.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Gotcha.
I've just started a blog for my car club i run with a friend. I know the complications!
It would be great to even get the forum working together. I.e list as many build threads/turbo upgrade threads/suspension threads ect and you could have a go to page with threads about a topic.

Quite ambitious Matt.
Tom is right up there on my list. A small group of Long Beach guys that I ran with have forgotten more about these cars than many could aspire to know today. I haven't spoken with many of them in years, Danno is one and the other is in Santa Barbra.
Timing is everything when gathering tribal knowledge.

Laust Pedersen is the guy up Santa Barbra way, holds a few copyrights and created a procedure to make the 944 engine a non-interference engine -- while in the car.
Talked briefly during a drive, very impressive Guy!

Is there a way to create the technical section in Wiki type format with TOC?
Blog format with long lists is difficult to navigate when looking for specific info.
Btw, is Laust still renting out his piston-cutting tool?

Talk to Van Svenson and see if he's interested. He has put up some very helpful videos on Youtube too.
