Default P/N for replacement K&N filter for Vitesse MAF kit?

Anyone know the correct part number for a K&N replacement cone filter for the Vitesse MAF kit? Mine is old and tired and of course the P/N: F030D6 is no longer valid.

Closest one I have seen in comparison is K&N P/N: RF-1039

Anyone that will fit in the space that you have. The only real measurement you require is the opening on the filter that fits over the intake pipe. K&N has a chart that shows the specifications of the filter, i.e. filter opening, length, diameter, etc.

Already exchanged emails with Brian. However, this information may be helpful to others.

If you have a Vitesse MAF sensor, metal with a 3" IN & OUT sides, then you can use RF-1039.

note: we used various MAF sensors. The above filter fits only the MAF sensor with a 3" Inlet.

K&N has a great website that let's you find filters by dimension. I used it to find the biggest filter that would fit.

Edit: oops -- looks like someone beat me to the punch... so +1

I'd have to look it up, but I cut the support bracket off the back of the headlight bucket, so my filter won't fit a 951 that still has that upright bracket...

Is there any downside to cutting that bracket? I'm thinking of doing the same thing when I install maf kit.

I haven't noticed any in the real world. My other headlight shakes a little, but the one without the bracket is solid as a rock. Can't really say what would happen at 160mph with the lights on. Maybe that's when I'd notice?

If these cars become the next 1970 911S, I may wish I left it in place...

Thanks mate, looks like I'll be cutting it straight out then! Will make fitting the filter in place much easier. I doubt I'll ever be going that fast at night.

I can always duct tape it back on for originality when its time to sell haha ;-)
