Not to dis the camera or anything, but if you are hoping to get it, realize that it's got a serial interface (not USB) and will not be quick to get the pictures downloaded. It would also not work with Macs from the last few years. Just FYI. I'd hate for someone to get it and then have it not be useful to them.

That's a good point. I actually keep an old PC around, to download from my serial camera, because I don't have serial ports on the two I use most, just firewire and USB.
Oh, and it's not that slow. my camera does four times the pixel count, and it takes half a minute per picture.
I was thinking of getting a new camera with an optical zoom (and decent shutter speed). If I do, maybe I'll donate my old one the same way.

The camera works great, and takes very nice pictures.
Although it uses a serial interface, it's plenty fast at downloading.
Also, the software that comes with the camera lets you control the camera from the PC/Laptop, which is kinda fun.
And... the last time I checked, the price is about as good as it's going to get. Don't think that just because it auctioned off at $50 on Ebay that it takes $50 camera quality pictures, if that's what you are implying. By the same token I have a DSC700 which is one of the best sub $5000 digital cameras out there. You can see them auctioning off for probably very little (I paid $1800 for it new). Does that make any less of a camera?

Crazyracer,
Regardless of what it goes for on eBay, it is FREE here!
As Tony stated, the camera take great pictures. Nothing like a $50.00 digital camera. In no way have I tried to present this camera as anything other than what it is - A great digital camera at a great price!
To others interested...
I have stated in my initial post that the picture resolution is not all that high, and the makes the picture files size relatively small. That said, the camera will upload pictures relatively quickly "even with" the serial interface.
Oh, and to make things even more appealing, you can get a USB to serial cable for under $10.00 at most electronics stores, so you "can" use the camera on a computer with USB ports.

I don't understand why you guys are making such a big deal out of a 50 bucks camera. People are giving away 200,000 dollar cars and you guys think you can keep up to them? Give me a break (a big one). Sell it for 50 bucks and give the money to charity, AND don't talk about it.

Ok guys... crazyracer says we should just sell it because he doesn't want to hear about it anymore.
What do you thinks?
I was thinks that the 50 bucks camera might be needed by someone low on cashs.
Crazyracer: Here's tip.... the issue about the camera parallels the feelings about Porsches in general. If not the case, then the 944 would be nothing more than a 50 bucks car. What's the big deal? They are sold at $2000 - $3000. Maybe we shouldn't make a deal out of the car?

The camera is free. Someone take it. But please do not do this if you plan on selling it on Ebay for $50 bucks!
I gave something away awhile ago on the other Rennlist boards and someone(who shall remain nameless) asked for it and then had it for sale on the same board one week later! Good grief!
