Prep work at the paint shop. Brand new Turbo front panel has landed, will need to send it to the paint shop.

After an expensive lesson in learning that not all 944 front nose panels are the same, went over to paintshop over the weekend to take a look at the car and drop off parts. Car was being prepped for paint. (No, it's not a fully strip down of the previous paint, no budget :X )

A small break from Project 944 updates, my gf just picked up a 1 series cabriolet to replace our 1 series hatchback.

I promptly had it dropped on H&Rs / Bilstein B6s... She wasn't really impressed with the lowered ride height... :X

But i thought it looks cool. hahahaha... strangely the H&R and Bilstein combo rides better than the stock suspension on our hatch (shocks replaced just a year ago).

Need to get it washed up before taking more pics.

Found a used, clean looking and more importantly, working, Nakamichi CD300 to replace the disco-light Sony unit. If only they still made head units like these, i'm sure there's a market for them now with all the renewed interest in old cars. Clean looking and inexpensive. (Not those Pioneer DEX stuff)

Not much has changed with the 944 this week, but at least there's better lighting for pictures. Think they still got some bits to paint.

Very nice, big respect for doing this especially in your country where rarer cars are more or less unobtanium and new toyota corola costs $140k.

Thanks, to be honest, it's been very taxing and almost exhausting. Taking longer than we first thought too. One more month to a year since we bought the car.

I think the amount of money spent on parts, shipping and labour can buy me a used Aston Martin v8 vantage in the States...

Another week has gone by. Bonnet is back on the car, engine bay and boot insides have been painted.

and towards the later part of the same day, a friend of mine popped by and saw it getting buffed down.
