Bidding history looks odd? Unless that is showing where people have selected Auto-bid and it only shows their winning bid at each moment without showing the other person's bid. Otherwise why keep bidding the price up by yourself and days before the auction is over?

Stunning car. If these could still be purchased new on the showroom I'd still want one. Beautiful.

Anybody who would bid on that auction is crazy. It looks like a scam.

Supply and demand !!!

The demand has not always been there but obviously the supply is getting less and less for this condition vehicle.

The resale value of the 944 Turbo has already hit rock bottom and is definitely on the way up. There's not to many "original" cars left in close to mint condition. I don't think it's a "scam" just someone who wants a collectable piece of history.

Just my opinion...

With the seller's feedback rating (and long history of feedback, though only as a buyer), I didn't think this was a scam, but after searching the VIN on the Internet and looking at the bidding history of the bidders involved, I'm wondering if the seller's and bidders' accounts were taken over by someone else who wanted to take advantage of their positive feedback.

Check the following:
http://usedcarsfsbo.com/asp/Item.asp...=12%2F4%2F2011

This car is definitely not all original. The mileage seems to be original, but it has been restored. In order to be in the condition shown in the auction pics, it had to have been repainted and had interior restoration done, so it's clearly not worth anywhere the current auction is going for. Note that it has a dash cover on it, supporting the description in the link above that the car was left outside for a long time.

Suppose you could call the guy in that listing for more info on the car:

For $30K, I'd want Fuchs, an LSD, and a crack-free dash. And a service history.

They say pictures sell cars. I guess they're right.

Looks like restoring 944 can bring a profit after all

WOW! I stand by my thoughts... just maybe not for this particular car.

Thank goodness for smarter people then me.

Do you really think that somebody would bid up this car to $30K with over a day to go and this is the only description: 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo Coupe 2-Door 2.5L with 14,308 Original Milage.

Mileage isn't even spelled correctly.

You might want to bid on it if you want to get scammed out of $30K. It's a scam.

I agree, definitely a scam, the bid history makes no sense. One person earlier suggest it was the autobid we were seeing, but I'm seeing where the same user bumped the bid up several times for no reason (not outbidding anyone) over the course of a few hours.

Also did anyone else notice that the seller currently has 4 different cars for sale, and some of the same bidders bidding on the 951 also already bid on the other 3 cars? I'm ready to report all of the listing..
