Default KLR Rebuild Kits?

Hi all. I received my new Rogue Tuning ECU in the mail yesterday and since it's fresh and new I got to thinking about the KLR. It's probably never been serviced and any electrolytic capacitors are shot. In fact, I don't know if I would know if it's working right or not.

I figured I'd do what I can to test it. Are there any rebuild kits out there for it with the caps I'd need to replace in the thing?

What, the ECU? I ordered it about 7 months ago.

I ordered my ECU directly from Rogue back in June. Not sure if LR is going to be selling these units for Rogue. You'll have to ask Joshua.

I don't think you can get a rebuild kit for the KLR

I'm undecided whether to buy the Rogue MAF/ECU or basic standalone. If I recall correctly Josh would load a map to suit whatever spec you are running, will have to wait and see if Lindsey offer the same.

I've never seen a rebuild kit. www.ecudoctors.com will rebuild it for you if needed. The most common failure tends to be cracked solder joints, especially on the main connector solder pads. So an afternoon reflowing those solder joints is probably time well spent. Much less frequently, the EPROM will fail, so burning a new one of those can't hurt. Beyond that, I'm not aware of other common failures.

Yeah I've read a lot about the cracked solder joints so I was going to fix those up as well. Ecudoctors looks pretty cool but I'm looking for winter projects I can do in the warm

I got mine from Joshua direct.
