It's possible, we've gone over the wiring several times. Doesn't mean it's right tho.
Can someone verify part #'s for me? Is part number 996 355 755 00 an ABS pump from a car with traction control? Is part numbre 996 355 755 04 one from a non traction control car?

OK, that's good to know. No need to get another pump/ecu unless we determine this one is bad.
My car had factory ABS, so I bought a pigtail for the boxster pump, then spliced it into the existing ABS wiring harness using the wiring diagram Rich posted.

I used a .03 pump, no TC and no issues. Since the bulb was pulled I would suspect the problem might be in the existing wiring on the car side. I would check continuity between the ABS plug and wheel sensor plugs in the wheel wells and double check you are getting 12V on pins 15,17 & 18, D+ on pin 10 of the ABS plug.

How is your alternator wired, Doc? I wired mine in the standard 944 way which gives the ABS it's signal that the engine is running. But some of the LS swaps are done differently, called "self exciting", where the blue trigger wire isn't hooked up. This would cause the ABS brain to never perform it's self check and might explain why the bulb was yanked.

Are you still trying to sort out you ABS? I noticed in a previous post you mentioned that your ABS light is now on all the time. That would be normal, you will need to reset the ABS. Clark's has a description as to how to get rid of the light. http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/elect-12.htm
If you are using this procedure, remember this is a german car, when they say 5 second, they mean it. Use a stop watch.

That linked procedure is to reset the airbag warning light, not the ABS warning light. Having the ABS warning light on all the time isn't normal. When it's on like that, the ABS is inoperable.
I think the problem is I don't have the alternator wired up to the Porsche body harness, so the ABS relay doesn't know when the motor is on and to send power to the ABS ecu...

Ok, with the help from Rich, I've found the wire I need to tap, red with a black stripe. However I don't have the same alternator as Rich, so the painless plug I bought (that he's using) won't work.
What I need to know is do I supply that red/black striped wire with 12V constant from the alternator, or with switched 12V?
