The problem is there's shops around that say they can do it but how do you know, maybe Sunnen can advise who has the right know how ?

Boring and honing
Mantissport has the access to a machinist which has prepped over 15 blocks, with no issues. I know this does'nt help the guys overseas, but there is hope.

May be Baz Hart might be able to help with alloy liners. He was extolling the virtues of an alloy solution for road cars - it's just a question of settling on what type of plating you'd like.
I don't think he'd install third-party/client supplied liners as he wouldn't want to responsible for the consequences of parts supplied by someone else.

Hartech are very busy at the moment apparently. Baz had a turbo block sleeved to 3.0 and a set of 16v pistons a while back but when I asked how much he didn't reply.

To answer the original question - I can buy Wössner pistons directly from the factory.
Regarding sleeving - wet and dry sleeves can be done in Sweden too along with correctly spec'ed JE pistons.

Thanks Gustaf.
I've contacted the UK Sunnen dealer to try and find a good machine shop experienced with Alusil. If I'm not confident in any I'll have to consider sleeving.
Paul.

Somebody should contact KolbenSchmidt. If they don't have the know-how, nobody does.
