Cars & Coffee Irvine, CA 8/9/14?
 

My wife and I are going to be in Laguna Beach next weekend and we're planning on attending the Cars & Coffee in Irvine on 8/9, anyone going to be showing their car that day?

the meeting spot is at the Mazda office complex behind the Irvine Spectrum mall. Off Irvine Center Drive and the 405. Follow the cars. It's quite a show.
Lots of exotics on occasion coming in from Newport Beach. I once saw a Ferrari hauler loaded with vintage race cars. Another stand out was a old VW bus with a hemi in the rear..lol
Get there early if you can 6am it gets rolling, all over by 8:30 or so.
I haven't been in about 8 months. usually working.

Thanks, I figure the earlier the better with the Mrs. so as not to impact her beach time :)

I'll try to make it, it's tough to roll out that early on a Saturday
morning..

bit of a trek, but maybe..

My car isn't exactly show worthy but I'll show up if there will be other 944's there.

The P car guys try to park together near the entrance to the right. You have to get there no later than 6am cause cars start flooding the parking lot. I would bet this is the largest meet in the country. Several hundred cars at times. Seen lots of hi jinks before the cops threw a net over this. Saw a Viper rip the front end off his car after sideswiping a Land Rover on the freeway on ramp. There is 0 tolerance now for anything, cops standing by.
Saw an Enzo, Old GT40, Lambos, all kinds of hot rods it's a hoot.

Definitely some very cool cars out there... Here's a few pics from a couple of weeks ago.

BTW, best place to get coffee close by?

“Missed it by that much” … a week to be exact. I was just there last Saturday with my Espada.

Btw, they sell coffee and doughnuts in the parking lot and also have nice clean indoor restrooms nearby.

I plan to be there, may have to cut out around 8 for work. Unless the other 944T guys show I'm usually the only water pumper P car there. I'll leave a post-it on my windshield with my phone number. BTW I'm Greg also..
