Is Axl driving it this weekend also? Be interesting to see what the extra hp / tq will do. Should be ok for that track as it is open enough to take advantage of. Best of luck on Saturday. Keep us posted!

This engine is going to stay at the top of the RL chart for quite some time.

Yes Alx will do a hot lap this weekend too. He will actually do hotlaps in my car plus 2 other very quick cars between the track day and time attack sessions. It will be quite the show!

No, that engined had a conrod that decided to try its luck on the outside!

New engine is a 3.1l dry sleeved stroker with 968 head, cams, Link G4+, Garrett GTX3582R with Tial 1.03 housing, custom made 4-1 headers, dry sump etc.

Was the conrod on that engine a forged factory one or was it aftermarket?

It was a Pauter rod. Rod bearing failure.

I should also be added that that engine had stock bearings, car had massive cornering ability and no dry sump.

Yep! That is what happens when the dry sump kit you ordered is delayed and you do a couple of shakedown sessions without it

Some pretty cool data is that my car brakes over -1.4 G
It should be noted though that the suspension is custom made and the geometry is designed with this in mind to maximise braking etc. To be fair this car is closer to a tube framed pure race car than a 944. I don't know if I should cry or laugh when some people say it's fun to see an "old 944" beat newer cars

Agreed - you have a fake fake Porsche while Patrick still has a real fake one...
