Bob, The car weights in just under 2,200 and having to weight in over 2,600 per SP1 rules when I come off track means I needed to add ALOT of ballest. I have about 250-300LBS in the car at any giving time.

With all the HVAC stuff removed, how do you guys keep the windshield clear during a rain event.... hopefully its not by leaving it in the trailer

Doug, I am also building a Track/Race car, I don,t have my dash finished but I went to JO-Ann Fabrics and bought Faux Suede, for the top which will be black. The car will be painted blue and silver, I am doing the bottom of the dash in marine Vinyl (Silver) to match the silver accents on the car. I also will be doing a french stitch around the Suede in Blue much like the new BMW's. I Just finished my roll cage and am planning on running the car in Stock F as well as putting on the street to play once in a while. I did ditch my hvac and according to PCA rules I can cut parts of the dash out to make room for the cage. In doing so, I am able to cut out the corners of the dash where it is the heaviest, also I re-located the hood hinges and am running my A-pillar bars through the dash between the vent and the windshield. It will be a couple of months but I will post pics when done. Im at the "wire consolidation" phase now, once that is done I need to paint the interior then paint the bars (doing them in contrasting color) and install dash.

I added a two inch spacer for the steering wheel since this photo. It's a leather option car so I had to keep that option, just because it's super cool!

Bought the glass with that on it. Came from interstate and not so easy to transport. I'd have thought someone in the U.S. would be offering something like these?
