You should probably check out the Jäger "wall poster" turning laps on the MWR Facebook page. Which might I add, is a customer's car, just like all the rest of the builds. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2011042082302735&id=109417815798514

Can you post a pic of your bellhousing to torque tube adapter solution?

It's just a simple adapter plate, several other 944 people have used a similar solution for 1.8t swaps

The 1.8T head does have some protrusions on the rear, but nothing that interferes with the 944 bellhousing or an adapter.
The 07k on the other hand...

Should be pretty easy to build mount arms that use the factory crossmember mounts using the Iroz adapter block. I'm not concerned about that aspect.

I don't know what question Ive deflected off of. I was just replying to your wall poster comment showing the cars get used. If you're referring to price, their contact information is on the website. If you're talking about how the swap is done, that's not something I'd expect a business to just throw up on the internet for free to copy when they've spent hours researching it.

This is a technical forum, not social media, so the expectation here is technical content and discussion. I’ve seen your work on Facebook and it’s very impressive, but I’d never ask technical questions there as it’s an advertising medium for the most part. To advertise here you need to pay to be a site sponsor, but you’re welcome to delve into technical conversation for free. Welcome, and glad to have you here!

Ok, let’s get back on track (sort of)... here’s the car I’m going to install my 07k in. Just pulled out the LS last weekend, so it’s a nice clean slate!

My buddy Dan has coined the name "Project Displacement Replacement." I probably should start a new thread showing the build, rather than clutter this one. Maybe when I get a little bit further along...

Looking forward to seeing where this goes. I've never considered swapping out the Porsche engine in my personal car until now. I've driven several of the recent 5 cyl cars as I work at the 4 ring HQ and love the engine.

i think it's really cool VW & Audi are back building 5 cylinders.
So sad there isn't a high displacement racing block available.
Does anyone know what years since the Audi 5000 was first introduced to recent years
when VAG/Audi wasn't running a 5 cylinder in at least one of their production cars?
i know we had them in some VW Quantum's after 1981 over here, the Audi 90's and 1990's S4's
w/ turbos.

I don't believe there was any 5cyl turbo in the US from 1994ish? AAN motor with the UR S4/6 till the MK2 TT RS in 2012. At least a turbo version. The rabbit/golf had a NA 2.5 for a while. Not sure on years.

Good news... it looks like we will be able to use a 240 mm clutch setup. The flywheel and pressure plate will be same as or similar to a VR6 w/ 6-spd 02M trans. Clutch disk will be 951. Starter will likely be from 02M trans. TOB and slave will either be VW or Solstice GXP (recommended by Dave at SPEC). I have a bunch of these parts on order to get dimensions and design the bellhousing around. Should have what I need to finalize the bell design next weekend (hopefully).
