Yes, stock mounting point for the pickup will work, but the pickup will need to be modified from that mounting point down. This pan will have a deeper/larger capacity sump than the factory one, as well as trap doors.

I'm assuming we will need to send in a core for the pan to be modified?

I'm holding off on buying an engine due to limited storage space but I can start searching for a cheap used pan if I'll need one to send in once the production of the oil pans is ready to go.

Yes, you can send me yours, but I'm not sure I'll be able to keep track of whose is whose. I will probably just buy a few extras and do a core refund program.

I was thinking about picking up a spare engine or two myself . I could send you the uppers to help with the core stock pile .

Thanks Joey.

How much do you guys think the core amount should be?

I don’t know if you’ve pull any of these pans off yet, but I’ve done a few and it’s a little bit of a pain sometimes. I think it’s because the front and rear of the casting are sandwiched in between a front and rear gasket. And the top is sealed to the block. The last one I did required a lot of persuasion with a rubber mallet.

I decided I don’t want to wait for my TIG skills to improve and picked up a used TT RS turbo. Machining to fit the 07K head looks easy enough, but is there going to be an iAbed option? No sense reinventing the wheel.

iabed DOES have an adapter. That is going to be a sweet setup! Alan has more info on the adapter and will chime in.

Just checked with iAbed. His adapter will be machined from stainless and should cost under $400.

Wait wasn't that for the RS3 manifold? Or are they the same as the TT RS headers 🤔

All, we now have an option for both solid and rubber pucks on the engine mounts. The rubber mounts are extremely stiff and should be a great base option. However, we wanted to have solid aluminum pucks for anyone that is going to get crazy with power or is concerned about a bonded rubber puck. Solid pucks are a $50 adder.

Any early concept pictures of it? Looking for how far it moves the turbo. ETA?

I'm assuming iAbed is making the adaptor for the original TTRS/RS3 engine (codes CEP, CZG) not the new aluminum block engine? I haven't lookup up parts for the new engines yet, but the only difference in the original 2.5T engine was whether or not an exhaust temp sensor was used. Same turbo for TTRS/RS3 otherwise.

Suppose one wanted to "make do" with only, say, 300 HP on an O7K engine swap: Which of the various 07K engines from VW or Audi would entail the least work and expense and most reliability?
