Great, thank you! Any performance downside to using the 997 part in the mid to high 400hp range? Would like to leave room to grow in the future, without sacrificing anything near term.

I think one Potential downside to the 997TT TB is you would have less fine grained part-throttle control. So, for autocross or road course or just street driving, you would find full-throttle behavior at a part-throttle position. So let’s say with 400 hp, the TB flows enough air at 70% throttle position that it is no longer the bottleneck. Everything from 70% and up basically acts like 100%. So your usable throttle window is 30% smaller. I’m just making up these numbers, but that might give you the idea.

Count me in on an intake as well please. I'd be going with a 07K TB.

I mentioned this before , just a little FYI , the 96-98 VW VR6 throttle body shares the same bolt pattern as the 07k and would allow you to keep the drive by cable .

That's good to know, and opens the door to a ton of additional aftermarket ECU options.

I'm interested in the intake and non-sfi bellhousing as well. If the intake is coming from SPA will it be possible to package it with the turbo exhaust manifold to reduce the cost at all, even if just in shipping cost?

Yes, that’s the plan. I think I’ll be importing a bunch of the exhaust manifolds along the intakes (15-20 of each). And yes, if you want both, I can combine shipping for them.

Thank you Alan, appreciate the explanation!

Yes I'm also interested in the intake and bellhousing and other group buys for the swap.

Great, it sounds like there is enough interest for me to make the investment in the cast intake manifold tooling. Or at least I hopefully won’t lose too much on it. :-) I’ll keep you all posted on that progress in the coming months.

Here are some pics of the mounts before, during, and after powder coating. I now have everything ready to ship except for the valve covers from iAbed. I’ll keep you all posted, but I’m hoping to have everything shipped around the 15th.
