Saw 2 of them. Most of those crashes are pretty stupid. People driving too fast on street cars/tyres and wet track. That track demands the utmost respect.

I guess most people on this forum have never been to the ring, and probably never will. It is impossible to understand the small margins on this track without actually having been there and experiences the blind corners, the elevation change, and he massive speed you carry through many corners (most of them blind). In fact in many corners you just floor it at hope you hit the line right, and there is no obstruction in the road, because even if you brain screams NOOO, you now it will be fine

EDIT: That said. I am going back. There is just no substitute. All other race tracks become a colorless boring time consumption, and serves only to pass time until the next trip to the ring

I've never been to the Ring....but I think for my first time around, I'll hail a Ring Taxi instead. Although I wasn't happy when I saw on their website that Sabine is no longer one of their drivers.

Is there a thriving BMW only body shop industry in Germany? If so, it's probably because of all the BMWs on the 'ring beating up the barriers.

the 944 that hit the wall backwards would have been a total loss here in the US, I wonder if it's the same in Europe.

Yea I thought I could make money if I take a towing truck to the ring and put a sign. "I pay cash for your crashed car"

When I was there, I saw a Carrera 4S nearly wreck. The Green Hell is always claiming new victims.

Maybe the 'Ring would let you sponsor that corner. You could paint areas of the guard rail and give 10% off parts for anybody hitting the target!
