the car does build boost. perfectly until that limit. I can use the manual boost controller to bring it up from the 5psi with a direct line to about 9psi with the mbc and it will hold perfectly. it is as soon as it passes that the issue takes place. Thanks again everyone for your help. Im going to check my plugs and pressure test it and hopefully it will shed some light.

Post a video! Did you have any issues holding boost before adding the Lindsey turbo and chips?

Even tho it seems it wouldn't be a boost leak after understanding more of y issues, it is still very possible that something is leaking at 11 psi. If you have a seal or such that will hold 10 psi, but bursts at 11' this may be releasing the rest of your boost. I would do a pressure test just to be safe while your in there. I had problems with the seal on my turbo leaking bc the bolts were never torqued, it didn't cause the same problem but if your seal is holding 10 psi then releasing everything bc it can't hold more it's not impossible

Default UPDATE!

GUYS! I NOTICED SOMETHING. If you look in the video I took of the boost/vacuum gauge, you will notice that when its supposed to stay at its 17-18in/hg it actually, after revving it, goes to 15 then slowly increases up! is this the sign of a boost leak? does this help you to help me? let me know! Thanks again for your comments everyone! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8b-h...ature=youtu.be

I had a strange issue once that acted similar where the battery cable was too close to omy sr sensors and would cut out at low boost.

Usually you don't have spark issues until over 17 psi. However, if something's interfering or weak it could happen.

I'm of the thinking that it's probably not a boost leak, but it would be a good idea to pressure test just in case.

When you say Lindsey chips" are they the rogue chips?

If so, there is a possibility that the map sensor is installed incorrectly.

They are the lindsey racing max perforamance chips. I spoke with Dave on the phone and he made the chips specifically for the modifications i have done to my car. Also, I am currently running the original AFM which they chips were said to be designed for as well. Lastly, I have not switched to a colder plug. do you think that could be the cause of something like this in regards to an ignition issue? Thanks again for your answer!

Also, its not cutting during low boost when driving just after about 10-11psi

Unfortunately, there is just not enough data to be able to figure it out over the net.

You may want to re install the stock chips and try it being careful not to hit too high of boost.

Start with a system of process of elimination.

Check your cap and rotor and the rest of your ignition system. A weak spark can cause an issue of leaning out and not being able to increase in power.

you have a bad wastegate or vac line. if the cycling valve is installed, bypass it from the pipe to the wastegate use a mbc to turn it up or down
