Vintage Porsche
Sporting some 'vintage' clothing at the Watkins Glen Vintage race weekend.
How many remember these? I still have the shirts and hat!

Cool T-shirt Chris. What were the origins?

looks like vintage cloth from before Porsche and VW made all the nice folks (like John D.) using their name in their URL's to surrender before the almighty.... there was even this guy who got into some trouble just putting a VW P-car in the shape of a 914 on a tee shirt, saying just drive it or something who, not long after, got a letter from the Porsche/VW-Secret Police telling him stop making/displaying/selling the shirts–or else.

Porschelist was the first name for Rennlist. Porsche's lawyers sent John D a cease and desist letter - but before the lawyers did their thing one of the listers put together a group buy on some nice stuff. The 'got boost' tee shirts were a big hit with the 944 guys since the gauges are from our dash!
There were also hats and nice embroidered denim shirts.
The group was pretty small back then and it seemed that everybody knew each other. There are still some of the original people here.

Pre-Rennlist way to go Chris. Hold on to that one! I have a Can-Am shirt from Road America back from 1980 and I plan on giving it to my 11 mo old when she gets older.

I still have a pile of Porschelist decals, as well as a couple of shirts. If any of you old timers that were around when we were doing the old email list want a decal, shoot me a pm and I will see about getting one to you.
Anyone ever hear from Mike Green? His clutch job write up was priceless, and was one of the true rivals to the legacy of Jim Cooper.

I'll take a couple of decals for my track car, every now and then somebody recognizes the shirt/ hat....it would be cool to see if anybody recognizes the decals on the car.
