ARP head studs - where to buy?

Hi all,

I did some searching here and found many recommendations for EBS as a source for ARP head studs. I called them today, and they said that the 951 studs are on back order until the end of November at the earliest. I was planning to have my project complete and my car back on the road well before then.

So... anyone know of another good seller that might have a set on the shelf?

TIA!

What is the part number you need? I have a set for. 996tt if they fit.

EBS lists ARP4207 as the part number, not sure if that's an internal EBS P/N or if that's ARP's. Either way, the gentleman I spoke with at EBS today told me that he had several sets for any 911 under the sun available, but that they wouldn't work on the 951.

I appreciate the offer though, thanks!

No problem. Check Racewear they may have

Crackership 10-11-2012 12:33 AM

holy crap Raceware studs are more than double the price of ARP! Why?? Are they that much more awesome??

PALETTE 10-11-2012 01:01 AM

Yes. More clamping force and they won't stretch

Ultimately the studs are limited by the aluminum threads...

+1

There's ways of getting around that but it gets complicatedish

Rogue_Ant 10-11-2012 01:09 AM

Yep - bigger diameter studs...

Joshua, do you think my immediate plans really warrant better studs, or am I safe with the stockers?

For a <400rwhp street car, I wouldn't worry about it.

I think there will need to be a good few other things that will begin to fail by the time I get to 400rwhp... 930 clutch with 951 pressure plate for one..
