Some plastic epoxy, or a plastic welder...

I have a used one off my car you can have for the cost of shipping (figure $15).

Was fine when i replaced it with the aluminum one from SFR.

On the bright side, you can always tell her that, before too awful long, you will have replaced every part there is on it, and then it shouldn't need anything for good while. I'm not totally sure that logic holds, but it sounds good.

I'm still not completely convinced my issue is a HG, but it may well be... I'll be in the general vicinity of the HG in the near future with some other work I'm planning, so I'll replace it as a good measure. I'll definitely post my findings.

Thanks!

Still driving the 951. Good option!

I think you should take up Techno Duck on his offer. THAT is the best temp solution. You are also going to need to bleed the crap out of the system. I promise that there is air in there.
I'm glad that , for now, it isn't your HG.

ALso, I too have a good used res if needed.

I have a spare coolant tank as well. It is the original one from my car. It never leaked just isn't pretty. Let me know.
