Default Godzilla Bov question

So I just finished installing my pipes that came with this monstrous godzilla bov. I bought the set from a rennlister, who never installed them.

Reading this post on clark's gararge http://clarks-garage.com/phpBB2/view...6e213#img_1966

i'm pretty my installation is correct (see my pict).

I installed a cap on the maf pipe where my old smaller bov was.

The car is struggerling when I try to start it, it just keeps shutting off, even if I press on the acceleration.

I notice that if I put my hand on the open section of the bov, that the car runs more normal.

where is problem?

The BOV must be routed back into the intake path, at idle the BOV is open and is venting the metered air to atmosphere thus you get the stumbling. Pull the vacuum tube off the BOV at idle and then cap the hose with your thumb to prevent a vacuum leak. Does the idle then improve? If so, this is your issue.

yes, it does improve. But reading clarks post, supplied above, is saying that it doesnt have to be routed back?

the car is now idling without stalling, but the idle is pretty bad... keeps going up and down.

if give acceleration, it backfires bigtime, in the maf pipe and the exhaust

I will respectfully disagree with Mr. Clark in this regard. If you're losing metered air the car will not run right. The only way I know to run a BOV on these cars is to have a MAP sensor (stand alone), or moving the MAF beyond the BOV so that the excess pressure is bled off before being read by the MAF.

ok, I'm reading your awnser over and over....

Right now, the vacuum that goes to the bov is going to the fuel system....

what your saying is that I should routed back to the intake instead????

Yes that is what he is saying. It is running bad and back firing because venting that air makes it pig rich.

Right now, i already two lines going to the intake banjo bolt. I don't know how I can add a third one, other that splitting one of them....

Would that be ok? If yes what line is better?

It's not the vacuum line you need to route back but the air, the big nipple on the (silly, oversized) BOV to the nipple between the MAF and turbo.

These two 'should' be connected or at least the more right circle plugged.

i have a bov i use on my car sometimes(when i feel like being an *** and drive as fast as i can everywhere i go) and my car doesnt stumble to hold an idle. i think the spring in the Godzilla bov is weak. if its adjustable then you can adjust it so the valve is closed. they are right, it will make your car run rich when you shift

There is a plug on the right mag pipe, a temporary plug, but it's sealed off.

The pipes are really nice, but the purchase is not what I expected, I'm a bit mad right now.

I wanted to go atmospheric, but it looks like I can't.

Funny how there's no real info about the subject on the web.

We've all heard about it , serb pictures about it, but atmospheric installation guide about it

I run open to atmospere but I converteted my vitesse to blowthrough. the bov like you have is open to atm under acceleration and essentially makes it like you have a IC pipe off. Don't have any pics of my blowthrough setup on this PC or I'd show you.

Replace the IC to TB pipe with the original IC pipe and reinstall the bypass valve. There's really no performance difference, you just don't get the fancy woosh noises.

a drawing would be really appreciated : )

I don't know what to do. I really want to ear that atmospheric sound.

Otherwise, I'll have to find a way to connect the bov to the maf pipe, same thing as it was before but with the smaller ''forge'' one.
