I shot a quick video and if you turn your speakers up, you can hear this "woooooooooooooooooo" sound. It's been doing that ever since the boost disappeared.

What happens if you go higher in the rpm? still no boost?

Same problem, doesn't ever pass 1 bar on the stock gauge. Even at 5k rpm.

Then something is preventing the turbo from making boost...
Completely plugged catalytic converter; something stuck in the turbine scroll preventing exhaust flow; turbocharger shaft broken; wastegate stuck full-open; diverter valve stuck open; massive restriction post-turbo.

+1

Not sure about the blocked cat though, car wouldn't run properly... and it would probably boost but choke.

Pull the J-boot or maf (which ever you've got) and see if you can spin the turbine.
how much end to end play do you have by pulling on the blade and pushing.

Regarding the blocked cat - the car could still push exhaust out the wastegate (which bypasses the main cat). Probably a long-shot, but at this point, I figure any possibility should be brought-up.

I thought of the same thing..

You could even take the wastegate out let pipe off from the exhaust and hear if it opens.

Good idea, that would be a sure-fire way of knowing if the wastegate is opening or not...

That's what I'm thinking.

I'm using a test-pipe, fyi. I'll pull the wastegate and see if I have a crossover pipe restriction I may have missed. Also, I still need to pull the test pipe and check to see if the primary exhaust collapsed. I can pull the J-boot and quadruple check the shaft play. Diverter valve is good, wastegate is good.

So, I bench tested the wastegate again. It opens above 11 psi. Good.

Pulled the primary exhaust off the downpipe, put a tennis ball through it, went straight through. Same with the test pipe.

The shaft play on turbo is like less than 1mm. The turbine spins as a journal bearing turbo should. I did notice a coating of oil around the compressor outlet hose.

I noticed my air filter was pretty damn dirty too. I changed it out for a new one.

does your AFM door open?

When you checked turbo play, did you check side-to-side and in-out?

I'll disconnect the airbox and check the AFM door again, but, I did bench test a few months back and it passed.

Yes, I checked the play on both axis. Less than 1mm on both. Hardly moves at all.

I was thinking of building another pressure tester and putting it in the J-Boot to test the connection from the compressor to the first intercooler pipe.

Lets get this straight, something went bang and you've got no boost?

Boost needs 4 sections. Pre turbo, Turbo, Post turbo & Boost

Pre turbo / Intake:
Air filter (is it clean?)
Air box (is there anything blocking air flow?)
Air flow meter (does it open, does it feel like it's getting stuck or is it smooth?)
J boot (is it broken? does it have any loose connections on it?)
AOS.. is connected to the j boot (is this connected?)

Turbo:
Turbo shaft play (can you push and pull it more then 1mm? can you move it sideways more then 1mm?)
Compressor blade (are they bent/melted/destroyed)
Turbine blade (are they bent, melted/destroyed)
Compressor cover seals (yes there's a seal there, did you make sure it's there, or put on properly?)

Post turbo / Exhaust:
Down pipe (collapsed?)
X-Over (collapsed?)
Wastegate (opening to early, staying open?)
Exhaust (collapsed, less likely?)

Boost/ after compressor.
IC pipes (connected?)
couplers (broken?)
intercooler (broken/leaking?)
intake (everything connected to it properly? gaskets broken?)
by pass valve (does it hold boost?)

intercooler (broken/leaking?)
intake (everything connected to it properly? gaskets broken?)

Pre turbo / Intake:
Air filter (is it clean?) Replaced with new
Air box (is there anything blocking air flow?) No, pulled and inspected
Air flow meter (does it open, does it feel like it's getting stuck or is it smooth?) It does open and flutters on occasion at idle (I believe that's normal?)
J boot (is it broken? does it have any loose connections on it?) No cracks, connections solid and pulls good vacuum
AOS.. is connected to the j boot (is this connected?) I have the LR hose that extends across the intake with the little PCV valve at the top of it near the AOS

Turbo:
Turbo shaft play (can you push and pull it more then 1mm? can you move it sideways more then 1mm?) No, no
Compressor blade (are they bent/melted/destroyed) No, no, no
Turbine blade (are they bent, melted/destroyed) No, no, no
Compressor cover seals (yes there's a seal there, did you make sure it's there, or put on properly?) Don't know, that would explain the coat of oil around the turbo's exterior. When I had it rebuilt, that seal was replaced.

Post turbo / Exhaust:
Down pipe (collapsed?) No
X-Over (collapsed?) No
Wastegate (opening to early, staying open?) No, No
Exhaust (collapsed, less likely?) No

Boost/ after compressor.
IC pipes (connected?) Yes, pressure tested
couplers (broken?) Yes, pressure tested
intercooler (broken/leaking?) Good, pressure tested
intake (everything connected to it properly? gaskets broken?) Yes, no gasket broken
by pass valve (does it hold boost?) Yes, opens at 6 psi
