Glad you found one that works! How did you conclude that's the only legal cat? What about the DEC direct fit and other pc-1's with the same dimensions?

so, i basically went to a shop i *trust*, and they did the homework for me.

by "homework", i was talking to my honda mechanic aki about my build, and i mentioned this situation. natalie (the owner's wife/office manager) asked the year/make and in about 30 seconds she tells me the following:

"36106. that's the only carb legal cat for your car. it's 2,5 inches."

they do a LOT of custom/crazy **** there. one of their builds was a street legal, full-size car "tricycle" with a turbocharged h22 motor. i believe every word they say when it comes to the letter of the law.

http://www.blacktrax.net

if anyone in the bay area needs a mechanic, take your car there. they know their ****.

anyways, i went to summit, entered in the carb number, and immediately pulled up the cat she told me to buy.

so i bought it! i also have a stock new FPR coming in from paragon. once i get the parts, i'll post pics of the build and how my smog process goes.

i know. sometimes i'm down with paying a bit more to a cool company just to know i'll get it in a reasonable amount of time.

that being said, i didn't even remember to check ebay. that's a great price!
