What spring rates are you running, and do you know if you have the 2x3" inch center bar, (taller) or the 2x2 like NorthCoastCabs is running?
I have the 2x3 bar. I'm glad to hear it is different from the one that bent.

I run 900# springs and the car weighs 2940 with me and a few gallons of gas.

Chrenan,
I have had the 2" X 3" unit installed on one of our race cars for over six months with Great Success.
I have used as high as 1000lbs springs but most of that time we had 900lb springs on this car. For the past month we have had 800lb springs in use. Additionally this car is driven very aggressively.
I feel very confident in your installation.
Max

Thx for the reply's everyone.

It seems the 2x3 is the only way to go. If anyone else has a 2x2... Please pm me here or Let me know on my email at bkarger2010@gmail.com. I will replace it as fast as I can get them out. Patrick is one of them.

So far I have 3 to make. NorthCoastCabs and Patrick, and one other, not on this forum. ANYONE, please remind me if you have the 2x2 unit if I haven't mentioned you here.

I personally am still going to run my 2x2, but I will re-attached the centerbody mounting tabs that you see in the picture. I feel that little extra support in the center will go a long way for the 2x2 bar, but still won't be needed at all on the 2x3. I don't feel the extra work of making a 2x3 for my own car is warranted. 2400lbs wet with me in it, and extra little extra support in the center should do it. I'll of course report back if it isn't, - when and if I ever get to work on my car again.

Bruce, it's the first time I've been under the car in a while and I also presumed that you told me that mine was the 2" x 2" version....it's not. I have the 2" x 3" version.
We're going to give it a go and monitor it between sessions. Gone up in spring rates for now too. 1150/1370lbs. Hope to be testing in about a month.
Email sent. :-)

It will probably just be the Go-Pro from last time. Having said that, it was pretty good in terms of view and visibility....(just didn't like the end result on that video!). Unfortunately we don't have the time nor budget of your build Tony, but it will be a bit different from the norm. We are restricted in some ways with the class rules so can't run a full undertray. Something for the future.

Does anyone have a clear pic of these missing Tabs and where they attach to the car? I can't seem to find anything on file.

Bruce,
Good evening, I tried both your phone numbers and they have been disconnected.
I have left numerous emails, All I am looking for are the Chromoly Camber Plates for torsion bar delete that I paid for.
Could you please mail these out as soon as possible or please refund me for one of the two torsion bar deletes.
Sincerely,
Max George

I'm sure Bruce is busy with life outside of this, but I am still waiting on my replacement set-up too. Would prefer a refund vs. waiting anymore.

From what I know Bruce got really sick. He was forced to pull out of a lot of his normal day to day work and just try and recover. I believe he is on the road to recovery but don't know much more than that.

As for the piece, we had the stronger version and it failed twice. We were able to repair the first issue where one of the main bolt attachment points on the side of the piece fell away and we had to make a rushed repair which involved a 200~ mile round trip drive back to the workshop on a bigger track weekend. Then at our largest event of the year the whole box piece warped and bent way out of shape causing large rear toe out. We were unaware of this as we had a bunch of other issues going on but it could have been dangerous at the speeds we were going on this particular track.

Some pics. Hard to tell about the whole unit buckling. Once we have it out of the car I'm sure it will be more clear. We're either going back to the stock part or possibly making some more significant changes to the rear suspension as a whole.
