This dyno doesn't show it because it was started too late, but earlier dynos started earlier show 400TQ at the wheels very close to 2500rpms. All of us were amazed.
That's over 400RWTQ between 2500rpms and 7000rpms on pump gas. That's what's called "area under the curve....".
I'd really like to build another just like this for a street car.

Burning Brakes
Hey Tony what's the word? I talked to Dwayne at Chuckwalla (which you didn't show ) and he said you took the car out for a shake down at Willow Springs. Well???? We've all been following this build for 2 years now so don't leave us hanging pal......

The car has been on the track for two test days at WSIR.
The idea is to run the car, see what fails and see that is wrong with the setup.
And there's been quite a few things that have changed.
Engine:
We have an oiling issue and a engine crank case ventilation issue. The LS6 PCV setup is not enough with this big engine. We need a big system to vent the crank case to atmosphere but not blow oil everywhere.
To deal with these issues we've just done the following:
1. A new breather system with -10AN from both valve covers to dual air/oil separators and a -12AN balance tube between the valve covers.
2. New valve covers, taller than stock, cast aluminum, with baffling (also moved coils up out of the way for breather bung installations.
3. New Smith Brothers push rods with oil restrictors (.040) to reduce the oil in the valve covers by 60%-70%
4. R&R oil line solid oil line to oil pan. But back, install approx. 12" -10AN flex line to oil pan. Previous solid line caused -AN fitting at oil pan to loosen due to vibration.
Also... the engine is up in power, now over 550RWHP with further tuning
Brakes:
The brake bias was all screwy.
1. After a long talk with Tilton and a bunch of calculations, we changed both master cylinders.
2. Throwing out (selling) the pagid RS29 yellow pads and going to the special Green compound Porsche uses for non-power assisted brakes.
3. Fabricating clutch and brake pedal 1.5" spacers to raise pedals to properly align brake pedal at full braking with accelerator pedal.
Handling:
We are using fully heat cycled out slicks, but which have quite a bit of rubber on them, in order to do preliminary testing. But so far here's the status:
1. The car pushes and doesn't transfer weight properly into the turns.
2. Going to go softer in rear by 100lbs and 150lbs in the front. Will probably need to adjust further, but will let us know if we're going in the right direction.
3. Possible problem with the front ride height (too low).
Cooling:
No changes. On hot day (85F-90F) after 25 laps:
1. Coolant Temp - 205
2. Engine Oil Temp - 210F
3. Trans Oil Temp - 165F
4. Engine Oil Pressure Hot - 45psi idle, 80psi over 5000rpms
Gearing:
With tall slicks in rear the S2 .778 5th gear too tall.
1. Installed Turbo Short .829 5th gear. Which is now perfect at WSIR.
ABS:
1. Works perfectly
Electric Power Steering:
1. Works perfectly. Excellent feel.
Speed and lap times:
Mid 1:25's at WSIR on heat cycles out (like 16+ heat cycles) Michelin slicks with the excess push and poor braking.
*** End up update after 2 test days***

Unreal ... Just unreal ...
The work that needs to be put into something like this is humbling, and mind numbing not to mention the obvious BIG$$$$$$
Good luck Tony

wow. that's quite a lot for 2 days. quite fitting for 1000th post. congratulations.
with so much long haul driving, i'll need to be inspecting these types of things, re; fuel lines, oil lines, etc, constantly on my street car.
