Hey Tony - What are your plans for a shake down at this point? POC at Chuckwalla next weekend? May not be the best venue for that beast, then again, it would be a great opportunity for chassis set up. Very fun track.

Well... got the new engine in and fired up today. All looks good. Real good. Valve adjustment tomorrow and some valve cover issues to resolve due to the aftermarket heads and stock valve cover clearance issues. But we have a plan to resolve it and it should be done first thing tomorrow. The nose and splitter have to be installed and it's ready for the dyno after the valve adjustment tomorrow morning.

So, presuming all is well, I intend to take it somewhere this weekend to do the first shake-down. Where depends on the weather. But I'm preparred to go as far as Pahrump or Phoenix to test in order to find dry track time before Chuckwalla next weekend.

With respect to Checkwalla,..... I'll be there, but it will be a setup & sort weekend running on used tires. It will be for track time and setup only. But it will be there....

I'll need more than a couple of days of track time to get the car up to speed.

That said... the new engine is ALIVE. Yeah baby!

Awesome... wish I could be there to see the maiden voyage.

I know I've suggested this before, but Tony you should consider bringing it out to VIR for the GRM Ultimate Track Car Challenge this summer.

Looking forward to seeing you next weekend. Good luck finding any "dry pavement" within 500 miles.... This storm is huge.

I'm out at willow this weekend both Saturday and Sunday with West Coast racing

yeah there's 50 percent chance of rain on Saturday only 30 percent on Sunday but remember you're chasing the weather if you head east so willow might be your best bet after all

by Sunday afternoon the track is wide open they're begging guys to go on track

It wouldn't be decent of me to type the words I said when I saw these numbers...I'll say WOW instead.

So you're roughly at 100hp/Liter (crank) while still having ~400lbft before 3000rpm.

You're going to re-pave the tracks with the rubber you'll be laying down.

Nice numbers. Should be quite the ride. I do think that the LS heads are underrated. Prior to Ford going crazy with their engines, They were the **** and for the real world they still are. I Still like the simplicity of the pushrod engine myself.

Good luck this season. Time to enjoy the process.
