Bilstein Escort Cup - 2,5" or 2,25" rear?
Hi,
This is a set of unknown age but have they always had 2,25" springs in the back?
Also are helper springs often needed for you guys running these?
My dads 968 with this setup has slack in rear springs unless we make a SUV out of it.
Don't have time to measure myself right now.
So I need to order helpers for rear and need this info. Is it ok with the weakest 4lbs helpers?
Also, should the helpers be completely compressed when car on ground?
General question: Do you use longer springs to skip the helpers or are helpers needed for instance if the longer springs raise the car instead?
Thanks!

I am running 2.25x 7" springs..in hard cornering on the track my rears would pop out of their perches....
I ordered helpers from LR but 4" was too much, so I cut one spring in half and used 2" per side....no more problems....

Ok, so I'll be ordering helpers then.
One thing regarding my Ledas on the 951 is that the springs (2.25") rub against a bolt at the top section so the spring doesent sit good and making noises.
The Bilsteins have that hat to move the spring further down below this bolt.
