The sleeves do go to the top of the deck surface. Maybe you're meaning the pistons? I think his is down in the hole .015 iirc. Mine on the other hand

However, now that you made me look close at it, I am a bit concerned that the broach marks are too deep for the MLS gasket. I do wish I had seen that earlier. I hope it seals well.
Ahh it was just an illusion, somehow it looked like the sleeve were about 3-4 mm down from the deck when I first looked at the photo. Need to clean my glasses I guess

Yes the broach marks looks pretty deep in the photos?

Can't wait to hear of your success. How are you going to be able to sleep for the next few nights?

Awesome! I can't wait to see the results. Aside from your extra expenditure for the over sized main bearings, did you come in at similar cost as Sid?

Please don't forget to install the guide plate on the water pump for the timing belt.

I don't want the beautiful engine to die.

Cost came in at $3850 no counting the head work. If I did it again I would go with oversized mains from the get go saving $200 and I easily could have saved another couple hundred on stuff I did not end up using. It could easily be done for $3400. If you used your original block and crank it could be done for right at 3K and the block and crank do not have to be perfect since the block is dry sleeved and the crank is offset ground.

Are you by chance planning to post your complete parts list with sources when you're done?

For $3k all in - it's a very, VERY viable option should I decide to rebuild this winter.

Last weekend I went on a 300 mile jet ski trip on the Tennessee River with my son and some friends, lots of fun but nothing accomplished on my car.

Received LR Ultra Engine Mounts and a Spec Stage 3 Hybrid clutch and got them installed. Hoping to really get the motor in this weekend.

Looks exciting. Why did you end up using Lindsey mounts? Does the stroker run a bit smoother than stock?

Original mounts looked a bit rough, probably could have used them but "while you are in their" got me on this one.

Not sure about smoothness but I would guess yes due to how much lighter the components are, this would be a good question for Sid. Although I know he is running without the balance shafts

Lindsey mounts are also cheaper by a long way...
