That did not turn out the way it was intended. It is nice to have a partner who shares in in the other passion and recognizes the accomplishment.

The car sound and looks great. Have you had chance to see how the car performs on the road, even though you are in the break in cycle? Awesome work and thanks for sharing the entire process with me and the community.

2bridges, it really is funny the way the it all ran together. Sorry Shawn.

Few more things done tonight. Being pretty cautious. Bled the clutch. I came up with a cool way to adapt my coolant pressure unit to the brake reservoir. Bled the clutch in 5 minutes. Took it for a very short drive. Everything looks good. No apparent oil leaks. Spec Stage 3 clutch felt good. Amazing I think I like it better than the Spec Stage 1 clutch I had before. I do not think my coolant leak will need any attention. Seems to have disappeared with a few heat cycles. Longer drive tomorrow.

When you taking this to the dyno?

Assuming you've got the same turbo as the 2.5 it would be very interesting how much different a stroker would perform with the same turbo.

Same turbo as the 2.5L. Going to see what it can do with this setup. Bottom end performance is important to me and near k26/6 spoolup is one of my goals.

I am hoping to have it ready a week from this Thursday. I drove it 50 miles today. Everything is looking good. Been running no more than 5 lbs of boost. I went to fill up with E85 and got stuck in a traffic jam for 45 minutes. It really was bad as I have not charged my AC and it was very hot. Still amazed how cool this filled block runs. No temperatures issues at all.

What turbo are you running currently- I too kept the turbo built for my 2.5L at the time thinking that I might regret doing that but it keeps putting a smile on my face so I will keep it for the time being. It would be nice if you guys, mainly Sid, you , and Joshua can package this so that some of us can go bigger and not break the bank.

Turbo is a Garrett TO4E DBB, 50 Trim, #8 Hotside.

As far as a package that would be Sid for sure, I am just along for the ride

You will notice and love the response at similar boost level to your 2.5L in any gear.

Thanks Chris. Really appreciate all your help on this build.

Thinking 18 psi on E85 but I may go higher it flows more and knock is not an issue.

So tonight I pressurized the intake and found a small leak. Vacumm with car warmed up at idle is now 19 inhg. Also installed new M-Tune chip from Rogue.

Then I took it for a test drive and got on it a bit for the first time. Here our my impressions:

- The motor is very smooth. Cannot really totally explain but everything seems smoother. I think it is the power delivery, very linear. I like it.

- Power comes on much earlier in the rpm range. Before I hit 2500 rpm I am in the power. The dead feeling is gone at low rpm's. It is very noticeable in traffic. It does not feel like a turbo car. If you daily drive this would be a significant improvement.

- I like the idle on this new chip. High idle never bothered me but very nice improvement. Obviously Rogue has continued to improve his design. By the way, that upgrade was FREE, thanks Rogue.

- At 9psi the car feels like my 2.5L at 15-16psi. I cannot wait until I can turn it up. Wow. I love this thing.

- For a car that is 25 years old it felt very refined driving it. Amazing really considering where the car has come from. I remember when I bought it, the old MAF and PB, the popping, the leaks, and randomly it would just die. Tonight it almost felt like a car I just bought and driven off the lot. Very rewarding experience.

Going to do some logging tomorrow night.
