Brake upgrade : M030 or big red caliper on Cayenne rotor

Hi,

As i've seen 964 3,3T or 3,6T disc (322mmx32) used with M030 caliper (previously used on 304x32 discs) (despite the pad witch is less high)

I'm asking about the possibility to use of 330*32 cheap disc of cayenne (less than $100) instead of $200/$300 964 ones.

- 955 discs (cayenne) are 68,5 mm high and M030 are 77 mm high.

If we use a no M030 car, we need an adapter(from 94mm axial to 130mm radial @ 12M1,5 ) who drift 8.5 mm more in axial way and 15 mm in radial way...

Any suggestions or advices ?

Regards

Phil

I can get you a Brembo/RB 355mm setup that fits either an S4 or Big Red caliper: same weight as the stock M030 Turbo S rotor.

Here's my car: 355mm with S4 caliper. Pictured with 18x9 Fikse with 245/35 tires.

Wooha !

Nice !

Where did the discs came from ? 355 mm is'nt too much ?
17" rims fit's or 18" is needed ?

By the way, the offset of the 955 discs (+8.5mm) may put the caliber out of body's car, so spacers may be needed...

Could fit on a 17" but would be a gamble: 18" is a safe bet.

Brembo's sister company makes the hats for me, & I can provide either a brembo ring at about $400 each, or an RB ring at about $200 each, & since the RB rings are mfr'd for racing, I went with that.

Anyone know what a cheyenne rotor weighs?? I've always wondered..

cheyenne ?

Cayenne is 30 pounds ... $100

no slotting/x-drilling from the factory for racing applications: wonder how well they hold up on the track.

Can't beat that price...30#'s isn't light though.

I like mine better personally.

The 330mm Cayenne rotors (drilled/slotted) that I weighed and am currently running are 23.7 lbs ea.

They fit under TT2 wheels with no spacers and fat Lexus calipers.

I've not seen that before : http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Pors...788BBK-09.html

the "kit" with big red with 955 discs still exist ! so it seems to be an upgrade available !

ok for the weigh ! 30" seems too much as effective.

Sorry i've no idea...

86 turbo has thin disks (narow way with short arms), maybe with disk in two pieces with bowl it's possible...

For caliber you need an adapter from 96 mm axial to 225 mm radial ...
