If I can get over 300 hundred for a reasonably low cost i would be inclined to go that route, however I'm not sure I can obtain this and stay under 1000ish

Hmmm, a k26/8 should get you pretty close to that. Are you sure your turbo is really bad, and that you aren't really experiencing a boost control or exhaust leak or other problem?

I agree best to double check everything for leaks just to be on the safe side. A k26/8 or k27/6 should be right around the 300whp goal and cheap, around 500 bucks or so.

Usually there is a light film of oil through out the intake system, intercooler pipes and all. It's very common, now if you have a good amount then yes it could be the seals in the turbo have started to fail which would need servicing. We just don't want you to spend money unless needed or you just wanted to upgrade.

It's definately not a light film, in fact, I even saw a drop in oil pressure over the course of a 250 mile trip. What are the pros and cons of a 26/8 vs 27/6?

26/8:
Good power output, around 300whp
200 Rpm later spool
direct fit, no changing

27/6:
Spools mostly like a k26/6
Can achieve 315+ whp
Need to bend water outlet pipe, turbo housing in the way

How would a k27/8 act in relation to the 26/8, 27/6? And is it a direct fit?

200 rpm more lag then then a 26/8. 15psi at around 3400 rpm IICR should be good for 330-350 rwhp

Would it be necessary to upgrade fuel injectors if I keep it 1 bar? I fuly intend to upgrade further down the road I just need to address the turbo issue immediately.
