Front passenger seat, rear seat top, rear carpet and padding. Replaced heavy spare tire well cover with aluminum. Also removed a bunch of junk that was hiding in the rear wheel wells.

Turns out I actually have a spare spare because my Big Blacks required another spare. Spare spare is 15" and it's yours if you want it.

I am contemplating doing some kind of custom lightweight front wheel to mount some skinnies on. I just pulled 100 pounds out last night, but I have regular tires back on now so tonight will be a lesson in driving for sure. Soon I'll be putting that badass intake you made to use!!!
Well, unfortunately, once you pull 800lbs off the damn car, it will still weigh as much as a WWI tank. We where not blessed like the beetle.

Once that intake goes on, you'll be running 10's!

Other than my mistakes it was a bracket car. Other runs we're 12.4@119.5 and 12.3@120.1

That is a fast 951! Neat part is it's still PULLING like a train once you pass the quarter.

Thanks, it does pull hard in fourth gear. Once the air comes around a little it should hit 125 with ease. If all goes as planned I should be able to run at least 4mph faster. These runs barely hit 18psi and I have cranked it up past that around town. If my MAF readings hold true I should be up about 50 hp more. I logged 4.2 tonight and I hit 4.4 easily down at this elevation. It should be fun....

Sid,

Not to beat a dead horse: Are you running stock axles?

I probably should make a separate thread for the axles Iv'e come up with. I posted a bit about it in the cheap axle thread.

What I am using is: 951 shafts that are 1.071 in dia IIRC and the vanagon joints off the Empi axles (the FEQ axles still use the week cages). The joints are stronger and the 951 shafts don't taper.

I also have a trans brace that has helped a lot.

I read that post. Great info shared, and I'm sure helped many Rennlisters. I'm using the LR axles with locks on the axle bolts. I'm using the LR semi-solid trans mount and similar engine mounts. In my cars previous state, I backed out a few axle bolts, and it was a mess. My honest opinion: My heal to toe downshifting was the true culprit. My old clutch shuttered when you didn't get the rev's perfect. Lesson learned, and now I know my need to learn to drive my car well. Trust me, spanking my old EVO's isn't easy on a short tar track. The vibration when I didn't get it perfect on the down shift allowed axle bolts go the other way of their torqued position.

I think I'll do fine with a few runs. Note: This car is not a quarter mile design, but I'll run-er on the quarter mile track with tenacity. What I've spent is worth a time slip, no matter the result.

Interesting night tonight.

11 passes..... MPH ranging from 117-119 ET's ranging from low twelves to high twelves mostly, with a stupid headwind all night. At points it was over 20mph.

I knew after my first run I wasn't setting any records. Well actually, I did set my own record with this car with a 12.24, But it didn't feel like it. I used the night to practice an effort in futility trying to launch on regular tires with higher timing. I finally went back to the tune from last week and ran good.

Josh got one video of me getting sideways in second gear. It was actually quite interesting to be gooing sideways after just watchign a ZO6 Vette spin out into the other lane at half track right in front of another car..whew...lucky guy.

Need tires...that's all, but the car ran flawless all night and drove home once again.....
