Default Lindsey Racing Boost enhancer question....

Yes I know

But.. I have no manual since i bought this one on ebay.

I've read just about a hundred threads about this boostenhancer but did not find the answer.

What is the stock setting? I have a 1986 951 complete stock at the moment just a forge 008 diverter valve added.

Took a picture of what i got and marked it. How much should the distance be? How many threads, looks to be 5 now.

Thanks.

The LBE is fine, but only as long as you DON'T use it as a boost controller. It's simply supposed to allow boost to build a few hundred RPM sooner. When used this way, it works and is safe to use.

To the OP, alas I don't know the answer to your question.

Trial and error... Goldilocks method...

Start high, it'll hit overboost protection, then back it down until it's "just right".

Try about .250 inch and go back from there. each turn of the housing equals about 1 lb pressure. its set from lindsey at 10 psi. I found that to be a little high, and was hitting overboost in cold weather.

You could also add a real boost gauge to the car if you want some sort of reference. For $30-40 bucks it's great insurance to have, even on stock cars.

I bought one. Installing it asap.

When adjusting this boostenhancer. Less boost means more or less thread visible?
