Default Short turbo temp sensor, threads and car model?

A shorter temp sensor is the only thing left that's needed for my turbo swap.
After reading threads on this forum and Pelican I came to the conclusion that a sensor from Nissan 300ZX -85 should work and that it should be the same as this one http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...artNumber=true .

When trying to get the sensor locally I was told that it was discontinued but that there were other similar sensors available with M16x1.5 and two poles.....
This doesn't match the sensor in the link that is one pole and ¼-19 BSPT thread?

Does anyone know the thread of the original sensor and from which car the shorter version really is?

Thanks for the info on Lindsey, as I understood it NAPA doesn't ship overseas.

Is it this one http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Pors...06-118-00.html ?
Looks like the one that is already sitting there but it does have another part number.

I ordered the 930-xxx version from my local Porsche center and it was just like the original one..

Since it's too late to get a new one (the car is goin to the shop on sunday) I'll simply cut down this one and solder a cable directly to it, should make it almost 20mm shorter.

Slightly OT But does anyone know the actual thread for the temp sensor assuming they're all the same?

With a T04B turbo the solution in the picture worked just fine.
The original "pin" is threaded into the sensor so it's easy to remove it and solder a wire instead.

Thanks for that pic. I ran into an issue with the Napa part yesterday. It didn't want to thread at all. We might do this if we can't get the low pro to seal.

The NAPA one should thread in provided its the right part. Be gentle with the wire, thats the biggest downside to them.

Does anyone know if there is a 1/2" NPT temp sensor that will work in place of the stock sensor? Obviously this will be from another car/application but its way easier to tee in something for a custom application that doesn't have metric threads.

Or better yet if anyone has information on how to setup with a relay instead of the sender that would be helpful as well.
