I wish I could get my hands on blueprint for this harness..
It doesn't look too complicated. Too bad it is priced like it is made of gold wires.

I got one email from Tony's contact many months ago, but never heard from him again. I'd really like to do this project this off season...

Ive looked all over for an alternative to selling organs for that one, its absurdly expensive.

Especially when you factor in the $3 fuse block and 50 cent switch.

Used m3 pumps that contain brains and need no remote boxes are dirt cheap and almost as modern as it gets.

Somebody should buy it and copy/paste as long as it takes to get the money back.

I understand it took some development time, but its just crazy how much they want for it.

I wonder if iternetz contain pin map for that teves mk60..

It would be exceedingly awesome if we could find a way of retrofitting a contemporary ABS unit rather than having to go with the full on Bosch Motorsport option.
You think this other stuff is expensive....

That Bimmerworld wiring harness is highway robbery!

I rewired my entire car for way less than that including making a custom harness for the Motec and an entirely new dash, using aviation grade tefzel wiring, sleeves and connectors throughout, and that included buying all the custom wire cutting and crimping tools.

What a rip off!

I was looking into a Teves MK60 setup at first but decided for simplicity to do the Boxster setup as a first setup. The MK60 should be an upgrade over the Boxster setup as it is a 4 channel ABS unit. It also a bit more stuff to wire in as it uses brake pressure sensors front/rear and in a YAW sensor as well. Some of the aftermarket harnesses doesn't use the YAW sensor though. The sought after unit is the CSL/ZCP unit which have better software for racing. The good thing about setting up a MK60 installation is that you can just switch out the pump to a motorsport pump when you that extra pile of cash burning

Do you have any pin details for MK60? I am searching for this stuff but dont find anything usefull.

Where could I get documentation for motorsport version? Pin layout should be identical..

I'll see what I can find later (I should have some info saved).
There is documentation to be found, it's very hush hush. The hardware is the same so it's only the software that differs.

We just need Tony to take his harness to someone who can make 10 of them for us. I have everything else, don't really want to spend more money to get different gear...

I'm reviving this thread again now as I'm looking into making a harness.
Pin 15 in the above diagram looks wrong. Pin 15 according to the 996 wiring goes to a fused 12v+.

OBD:
The only wire to the OBD is pin 11. Pin 19 goes to electronics ground.
Looking at wiring the OBD it seems pin 11 goes to a big junction with alarm, airbags etc and then forward with a single wire to pin 3 on the OBD diagnosis plug.

I'm not sure if I should wire in a OBD plug or not. Might be good and can simply future maintenance.
As nothing else will be connected to the diagnosis I figure I only need to wire ABS pin 11 to OBD pin 3 and then 12v+ to OBD pin 4 and ground to pin 5.
Can anyone confirm?

Also, the stoplight switch, is it a ground signal or 12v+?

I'd definitely wire into the ODB port! You need to cycle the ABS pump with the Porsche tool to properly bleed it and the way that works is by plugging it into the OBD port...

Are you sure? According to the ABS 5.3 diagnosis the 3 channel doesn't have a bleed option in diagnosis tool and is bled in a regular way.

"The Bleed menu is not available with the Solo ABS (it is not required).
On vehicles with Traction Control, this menu can be used to bleed the ABD secondary circuit in the hydraulic unit."

If anyone have wired in the OBD I'd appreciate feedback on the pins.

Duke's correct. On the stand alone model without traction control, the pump isn't used to bleed the brakes.

As far as the connection to the OBD2 connector goes... yes. Definitely connect it up. This will allow you to troubleshoot the pump operation, check pump error codes, and check the wheel speed sensors.
