What's your 0-60 ????
I wondered what every one is getting as far as 0-60 mph goes. Stock and modified.
The other questions I have is..... I see a lot of these horse power kits that give you 300+hp.
How does this effect the 0-60 times in a 951 / 951's' .
If any one wants to share their horse power numbers and 0-60 times with me.... I would be very interested to know.
Thanks,
Paul

I don't like doing 0-60 as these cars are not very good at it. Plus it's tough on the drivetrain.
With my set up, I'm getting 245 to the wheels and can get 0-60 in 5.6 (but I won't treat my car like that again to get those numbers).

I know these cars are not the best 0-60.... I was just trying to gain an insight into the real performance gains a 100 or so more horse power gives you.
Thanks for your input.

Tony, how do you launch???
I bring the revs up to about 3000 rpms, the start to let the clutch out, then at the same time, I give it more gas & let the clutch out more causing the turbo to load up with minimal wheel spin. Hard to explain, but I don't give it more gas until I feel the clutch engaging.
What I'm trying to do is to use the clutch to progressively apply the load to the engine. Then at the same time, try to progresively give it more gas to keep the rpms around 4000rpms.
Once I get actually rolling, I floor it and let the clutch out at the exact same time. It's a little tricky to get it perfect, and it sounds like I slip the clutch a lot, when I'm not really. Again... hard to explain... but it happens real fast.
Once the car is rolling, it hooks up hard, pulls to 7100rpms in first, fast shift to second and let up a little just enough to control wheel spin... get it hooked up and floor it again.
And is that from the car that doesn;t make much boost til about 4K ????
Yep.

Does anyone "power shift" their 951? By that I mean do you keep you foot in the throttle when shifting? I have done it in my NA, but I have been afraid to try it in the turbo.
