My car would be a lot farther now if it weren't for my stupid and costly mistakes as I have a good mortgage amount of money invested into my car so far. Next, I would have to go for Motec engine management, possible sleeved cylinders and an even bigger turbo. David and Chris have even configured a twin turbo setup on our cars. If I did it again they would give me 600+ whp with a warranty. But a honda accord?! Damn!
Jimbo1111,
A 100 shot would shorten the lifespan of my motor and if you check out my dyno, I have hardly any lag. This guy just straight kicked my ***. I mean I don't mind getting taken in a race, but I got spanked...spanked.

to me it wouldn't be embarassing to get SPANKED by someone who had more RWHP,the thing that would **** me off is if they had less then that would mean something was wrong with your car. =)

No matter how fast you are, there is ALWAYS someone faster.
Technology marches on and more millionaires are made daily.
DFASTEST, you should take out a second mortgage -I'll root for ya to beat the Supras!
I've been talking with the wife about going with a your type setup from Powerhaus in the future. If I bought a 993TT or new 911TT, I'd be spending a lot more than what our 951s cost with a Powerhaus setup. Uh, my wife just rolls her eyes

Hi
Iv´e launched my car to a time 0-100Km/h 4.79sec on the street. 0-60 is something like 0-96km/h so the 0-60 should be a bit faster!
On the quarter mile with "trackbite" on the track have I reached 1.9 in 60feet and something like 4.45sec 0-100Km/h...
/P

I have always said if I had the cash, I would build a twin sequential turbo 968. A nice k26 down low, then at about 4K, a k29 would kick in, or something eqivalant.
A MAF/MAP kit to control, about 15 psi on the k26, about 25psi on the k29, proper injectors, fuel pump, spark, etc. ,with cooled water/alch injection...600-650hp to the wheels would not be that hard.
I too have seen these Supras in action. There is an import tuner shop here in Orlando that has 2 TT supras they tune, each with personalized license plates, "900HP" and the other says "1000HP". AND THEY ARE NOT RUNNING ANY NOS. Very little work to the motors, mostly just bigger tubos, intercoolers and proper EMS. Both about 27 psi.
Was reading an import mag that showed the pro import drag racers. 1.8-2.5L motors, making about 700-900hp at the wheels. There were a couple running over 50psi!!! Yes, 50 psi!!!

Anyone who has done the clutch job themselves, or has seen it in progress, knows that the weakest parts of the drivetrain are the c.v.joints and the torque tube. This trans can handle about anything the car can give out. My first hand experience was due to a re-used throw out bearing when the clutch was done by the p/o's mech.
89 951-LR MAF, Kokeln Stg V, 52# inj's, fresh rings & rod bearings, Oil pan gasket (#2), and NO MORE F***'ing OIL LEAKS!
Still in box: LR wastegate,FPR,& MBC

Paul 968...
Give me about 4 years... I'm 29, grew up watching all the great muscle cars on the strip... then fell in love with a car that is fast, looks good, and will also turn left and right... an '89 951. I have been contemplating exactly what you have suggested for the past 3 years... an insanely over the top 951... the goal, drive it to a competition, make a sub 10 second pass.
Is it the most cost effective way to do it?
Hardly.
Is it the best use of the fine piece of machinery?
No way.
So why do it?
Some people build extreme homes that nobody else would dare live in... some people hike thousands of feet up to the peak of Mount Everest and have to use freakin' oxygen to get there... some dogs sit in the shade and lick their walnuts all day long... so I ask, if a person can find the means to pull it off using a car they absolutely love and would have tons of pride in, WHY THE HELL NOT!
And I don't care what kind of purist you are... if you saw a video of a streetable 951 make a sub 10 second pass leaving a cocky Honda owner's jaw in his lap... you would crack a little grin.
I don't just want to go scary fast from zero to the end of a 1/4 mile... I want to do it in MY car... MY Porsche. And that's it.
BTW - The CV issue is fixable if you have the $$$... check out this thread,

Seems the big test now, or better test of the car without destroying clutch and CV is 60-100, 3rd gear pull. Someone in here mentioned that is the main test of acceleration now in Eorope of cars.
And it's a perfectly suited test for our cars. Hopefull this test will catch on.
Have heard some have t oshift to 4th, I guess if yo udo just do yours from 58-98???
Looks like times under 6 sec are real good.

make a test record you times and tell us the results. only talking do not count. yes a supra is fats and other cras are even faster etc etc........ but how about some real times.
so how much from 60 mph to 125 mph ? Buy the new Gtech pro (or something similar and make a run) then post here the results.
just for your info a friend of mine just needs in his 968 Turbo was 1 sec faster than a GT2 and 1.3 sec slower than a Porsche GT1.
This was with two person in the car and 100 kg on lugage on a 110 Degree day.
when you have your G tech run we can compare the charts. Tony can you make the same?
It is time to see some acelaration data instead talking here. I folow these lists for year and most of the high HP guys NEVER post any real world data except of high HP numbers.
tell me how fats is your car from 600-125 (100-200 km/h) and we can compare it to every supersport car you want. I have the numbers from the Mc Laren F1 to the real Ferrari F1 and evey Porsche you want.
Big Hp numbers tell nothing. post the time and you know how fast you are.
Why are you afraid to make a real world test?
Konstantin
PS this refers to anyone here not only to dfastest or tony. I pick these names because I know they have some serious HP

Supra has 2 more cyliders and an amazing head design like all the Japanese cars. Danno can give the specifics as he once did and it was like reading a book. Also the Supra was made by Toyota's best who are not anything to be compared to the Germans but when they company profits are in the billions well, its just hard to compete. The other problem is that the tuners have so much more money then the 951 tuners so they get some radical set ups that work. One thing that suprises me is that you are getting spanked by the TT Supra because the cars that get into the 11's and the 10's are running singe big Garrets. Your car should easily be in the 11's and it wouldn't suprise me if you ran low 11's. That said I dont see how you can loose so bad to a TT supra or at least destroyed.
