Post TURBO NEEDED!!!

I plan on putting my engine together between March 22nd and the 31st. I still need a turbo. Any good condition turbo k26/6 or better will do. I do not have much to spend on it since I put all of my money into the engine. There is no reason for me to spend a ton on a turbo now since I will be upgradeing it later. If anyone knows of a shop that could rebuild a k26/6 in the northern Va area that would be great too. Thanks

I've the K26/6 I just pulled off my '86 951 available. It has ~110K miles on it.
What's a fair price?.

Thanks,

Sean

Not that I have one available, but this may be an appropriate thread. I'm planning on replacing my current turbo (you don't WANT to know how many miles on it) with a used one with about 40K miles on it sitting in my garage.

How much play in the shaft is too much? Doesn't move along the axis of spin, but I can wiggle it up and down mmmmm... maybe 1 mm.

Zat too much?

I've got a Garrett/Turbonetics hybrid with 'V' band connection for the down pipe. Makes the hookup easy. It comes with the 'V' band equipped down pipe and a 2 piece cross over pipe.

On my car this turbo showed 290hp and 300 ft/lb (17 psi)at the rear with stock intake system. That on a car with 35% leakdown.

Sold as a set only with noted pipes, $550.00.

If you can wait until the first week of April I'll have a stock K26/6 that was brand new from Porsche 4 yrs ago. It has 20,462 miles on it to be exact. PO had it installed. I have the record from Goudin Porsche in Vegas. $200 if you can wait. I am starting my project on April 7th.
