Post NEED SOME QUICK HELP! LAKE OF OIL IN MY TURBO

I just got my 2.8L 951 running. I have a lot of oil comeing from my turbo into my boost tubes and intake. when I started taking things apart I could see puddles of oil in the boost tubes and downe in the turbo outlet. I am guessing that the bearings in the turbo blew out or the oil return line is blocked. Any help would be great.

Try removing the appropriate plumbing and grab the little turbine in the turbo itself and see if there is any play.If it wobbles you have probably found you problem. The bearings are bad. HTH

Eurospeed how does she run when its running right? Does it pull hard? How much boost are you running with the factory turbo?

Eurospeed,

You need to remove the possibles. First take the crank vent tube off your intake pipe, then runn your 951 for a while, hard. check and see if the oil is still gathering in your lines. If its not, then you most likely have blowby on the rings, or a fractured ring. If it still pools in the pipes, take your turbo off and send it back to the company that rebuilt it.

Hope this helps. Call me if you need more details ok?

Thanks John,

I had it towed to a shop to have them find the cause of the problem. I am going back to school on tuesday and don't have any more time to spend on it. It better not be a ring!!!
