Will someone tell how the hell you adjust early porsche koni struts

How do i Adjust early porsche koni struts with the allen key top? I have the spring off. Thank you..../.

Medski 10-05-2011 04:55 PM

Front or rears?

Zeff 10-05-2011 05:00 PM

I thought you had to compress the shock and it would catch then you twist. That is a rough idea but I don't know an official procedure.

adrian1 10-05-2011 05:01 PM

Front. I believe i have to compress until i get a notch and then turn a certain direction. I want to go Full stiff. Thank you.

adrian1 10-05-2011 05:02 PM

Once again these are early porsche front koni adjustables.

On mine (86) the front one are ajusted from the strut top (under the hood) with a special ''key'' (looks more like a bottle cap).

adrian1 10-05-2011 05:27 PM

which direction for full stiff?

Medski 10-05-2011 05:34 PM

Can't say on top of my head, but it's not hard to try there is only 2 directions... ;)

slap929 10-05-2011 06:22 PM

lol only two directions... That's for the dampening of the shocks. Are you talking about adjusting the springs? I will look in the FSM and see if it says the direction.

If you have the m474 koni sport factory struts and they dont have the little tab for the adjuster key (knob) you hafta remove the spring and adjust the strut like you would a rear shock(compress and turn. this is according to koni.
